Dental Implants

A dental implant is a special dental device that can be used to anchor dental crowns, implant supported dentures and more. How this works is a dental implant – a special metal alloy post – is placed securely into the jawbone where a tooth was previously lost. This alloy post fuses with the bone, and after the mouth has been healed completely our team can use restorative dentistry technology to create a “new” tooth using a dental crown, or replace multiple teeth in the form of either a denture or dental bridge.

Advantages of Dental Implants

  • Support – When a tooth is lost, it removes support provided by the tooth root to your jawbone, and can result in jawbone deterioration over time. A dental implant can help improve the support to your jawbone, and help you achieve a higher standard of oral health.
  • Permanence – Unlike some other treatment methods, dental implants are seen as a permanent replacement solution for lost teeth. Dental implants have helped patient after patient to restore the beauty and functionality to their smiles – safely and permanently.
  • Versatility – Dental implants are a versatile treatment solution, because they provide our patients with multiple treatment options. For example, if you are missing one tooth a single dental implant and dental crown can be used to effectively replace your missing tooth. If you are missing many teeth, a series of dental implants can be used to support a full or partial denture which can permanently replace missing teeth too!
